Quinta do Piloto comes from small vineyards situated in Lau, planted with many different varieties, the most important are Arinto and Antão vaz. These special vines tend to offer delicate and mineral wines with great complexity. These vineyard is planted in a sandy soil. The final result it’s an impressive wine, with great intensity, freshness and volume.
Quinta do Piloto is state located in Palmela region from Cardoso family. Cardoso family is one of the ancient Palmela families with great traditions in making the best and traditionalist Palmela wines.
Humberto Cardoso was the creator of Quinta do Piloto, now Filipe Cardoso is the 4th generation of the family that keep the company running.
Color: Yellow color with golden hints
Nose: Dried fruits (almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts), melon, mineral, some oak, smooth, fine, elegant, with depth, fat with butter notes
Palate: Great volume, but without being fat, with a good concentration and the barrel in complete harmony with the wine. Very delicate, fine, and slightly salty finish. A serious white to be enjoyed in Burgundy type of glass.
